Hey guys, After several months of evaluation and Administrator feedback, we have decided to update our PvP System. Here are the following changes:
PvP System 3.0
No Rank to Munifex - You Obtain a Point if you hit a 1.00 K/D or Above and there is no way to lose a point. Must have a Minimum of 10 Kills
Munifex - Avocati - Must Obtain a 1.25 K/D or above in order to obtain a point if you hit a Below a .25 K/D you will Lose A Point. Must have a Minimum of 10 Kills
Avocati - Legionnaire - Must Obtain a 1.50 K/D or Above in order to obtain a point if you hit below a .50 K/D you will Lose a Point. Must have a Minimum of 10 Kills
Legionnaire - Condottiere - Must Obtain a 1.75 K/D or Above in order to Obtain a point if you hit below a .75 K/D you will Lose a Point. Must have a Minimum of 12 Kills.
Condottiere - Spartan - Must Obtain a 2.00 K/D or Above in order to obtain a point if you hit below a 1.00 K/D you will Lose a Point. Must have a minimum of 15 Kills.
PvP Rank Multiplier
If during an xAllegiancex Official Trials Event that said Fireteam goes flawless whatever points have been accumulated during that run are multiplied x2
If During an Official xAllegiancex MLG Event that said Fireteam Wins again the opposing Clan whatever points have been accumulated during that run are Multiplied x2
This new system will be in effect starting today. No point reset will be conducted for the remainder of Destiny 1. No rank reset will be conducted for the remainder of Destiny 1.
Members will be able to earn points in official 3v3 events under this system.

So, if a player is assisting a lot, making good calls, and communicating very well, and has decent map awareness, and is generally contributing to wins, but NOT posting high kill numbers, no points. Or worse, losing points on some tiers. A Munifex can post 9 kills and 5 deaths, but get no points. Someone with no rank can post a 2.0 k/d, but if they don't hit 10, they get no points.
I am 44. 10 years ago, I regularly posted 2.5-3.0 k/d's in PvP But I'm older now. my hand-eye coordination has waned some. I don't have as much time to devote to play. I will just never be great again. Our points system is inherently unbalanced, as it does not allow any other way to advance other than thru k/d, which means that clan members who will never be great, but DO play and contribute, have no incentive to play within our points system.
I know it seems to some like sour grapes on my part, but in a clan with nearly 2000 people, it seems highly likely that we have other members who fee16th Jul 2017 PS4 rabbi10
It is highly unlikely that this new system (or ANY system that is only based on K/D) will encourage "lower-skilled" clan members to play Crucible for points. I am one of these players, and it is clear to me that this 3.0 system only rewards people with high kill numbers or low death numbers. There are no other ways to contribute to a team AND earn points; this system only rewards k/d, and sets a nearly impossible threshold (for "lower-skilled" players) for minimum kills within clan play.
I am what I would call an average player. When I solo queue, I average 8-10 kills in a 6v6 match. When I queue with the clan, I average 2-4 in 6v6. However, I am getting many assist points, so I'm obviously putting lead on target. What I've realized is this: Clan PvP play is filled with highly skilled killers, and thusly, average players will SEEMINGLY not do well.3rd Jul 2017 PS4 oD1CEo

TOTALLY agree wuth Penehoff and Riinz...this'll help people to not only learn the game/become better, but will also encourage more of our fellow xAx bros and sis to try out the Crucible, as a team, without fear of "sucking" or getting "negative points" (something I CONSTANTLY hear--even though it's not possible/misinformation, it's a constant belief among all the first-timers I've played with). Another reason I do not really like this is because it makes me have to focus on kills only and not the objective, which i have seen ppl do and lose the match. Not really skill based if I go like 14/2 or 14/1 or what if our whole team does like 11 kills and 0/1 deaths the round ends early.29th Jun 2017 PS4 lelouch69kira

Great step in the right direction, much better indication of skill for sure. Like others have brought up, will be interesting to reassess how this system works in D2 as we will probably have a couple new modes to play. :D28th Jun 2017 Penehoff
may i make another suggestion the kill amounts need to be 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 ... or have the higher kill amounts on control and supremacy , lower kill amounts on clash. What i am seeing so far that points will be few and far between and it may cause more frustration then fun .. wish we could have tested this out before making it permanent.28th Jun 2017 jaysin408
Will this be for D2 as well? not sure if i can agree with this yet due to the fact that all pvp will be 4v4. Less people to kill may make it hard for equally talented ppl to hit the 15 kill mark depending on the game mode type.27th Jun 2017 PS4 aleksey_is_pro
Looks like I have to actually get more kills from now on to get to Spartan in Destiny 2. I would usually just not die as much in PvP hence the reason why I always ended a match with low kills but a high kd. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )
